Meghan and Camilla both had events the same week, and one of the royals was supposed to take a step back, but that didn’t happen, as was agreed. Meghan Markle and Queen Camilla were on good terms, but then things went sideways because Meghan broke a promise, it has been claimed. When they first met the two women had something in common. They both married into the Royal Family, and that helped create a bond. Because of their closeness, they agreed to be respectful of one another and that included in the workplace, it’s being reported.
In 2020, Camilla had a big day coming up, she was scheduled to give a speech at the 10th Anniversary of the Women of the World festival, and Meghan promised not to overshadow her moment. However, pictures of her at an event appeared in the press the same day. According to The Mirror, Camilla and her team had spent a year planning for the event and – the publication claims – King Charles’s wife was very upset. A royal insider said at the time: “Camilla’s work is very important to her and her decision to highlight the scourge of domestic violence at the 10th anniversary of Women of the World was a carefully thought-out plan.”
At the time, it was understood Prince Harry and Meghan would have engagements the same week as Camilla, but according to the insider: “Everyone agreed that Camilla’s speech should take precedence. Unfortunately some people had other ideas.” Meghan’s private appearance at the National Theatre was covered the same day as Camilla’s speech, Camilla is still involved with the organization and will be hosting a reception for the Women of the World Girls Festival Bus Tour who will be making a stop at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday March 12.
“The WOW Girls Festival Bus will park up at the Palace for the event, and Her Majesty will meet young people who have taken part in the Festival,”.
