Jennifer Lopez is reportedly “hiring crisis PR” to help navigate her potential split with husband Ben Affleck as sources claim “a divorce filing is imminent.”
As J. Lo and Ben face ongoing divorce rumours, insiders claim that Jennifer is already planning for the future by hiring a PR expert to help handle her impending divorce in the public eye, according to reports by In Touch. After tying the knot just two years ago during a surprise ceremony at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, some are speculating their marriage could near an end soon as multiple sources claim the two are having issues.
Sources also claim that if the pair do decide to call off their marriage, they expect Jennifer to also hire famous divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to represent her once again. An insider told In Touch: “Laura was the divorce lawyer who mediated Ben’s divorce with Jennifer Garner, and she represented J. Lo in her divorce with Marc Anthony. So there’s history on both sides.”
Speculation began that the famous Hollywood couple’s marriage was on the rocks after multiple sources claimed they were experiencing problems and had not been seen in public together in two months. Over that time span, both stars were seen attending several events alone including Jennifer’s appearance at the Met Gala and rehearsals for her upcoming tour while Ben was seen going to Tom Brady’s Netflix roast alone and filming for his upcoming role in The Accountant 2.
It was also reported that Ben has already moved out of their home after he was seen driving to and from a different property. After the speculation that Ben had moved out of their shared home, TMZ obtained images of him driving away from a house in Brentwood where they claimed he had been staying for a week.
A source told In Touch: “The writing is on the wall – it’s over. They’re headed for a divorce – and for once, [Ben’s] not to blame! They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.”
Despite speculation the pair are headed for divorce, both Jennifer and Ben were seen putting on a united front as they attended Ben’s son Fin Affleck’s school play in Los Angeles last week marking their first public appearance together in 47 days. The former Gone Girl star also seemed to shut down rumours as he was seen donning his wedding ring again while he went for a drive in LA over the weekend.
