Princess Kate reached out to Meghan Markle to “clear their” after the royal racists scandal. King Charles acted as a peacemaker between his daughters-in-law, overruling his sons to try and end the feud. Princess Kate reportedly reached out to Meghan Markle to “clear the air” following the publication of Omid Scobie’s bombshell book Endgame.
The book reignited a race row after Prince Harry and Meghan claimed in their interview with Oprah Winfrey back in 2021 that members of the Royal Family had “concerns” over the colour of Prince Archie’s skin. The Daily Express has chosen not to name the two members of The Firm at the heart of the alleged “royal racism” scandal. King Charles is said to have stepped in after Prince William refused, getting Kate to ring up Meghan after the book’s release.
The insider told In Touch Weekly: “Shortly after the book’s allegations came out, Kate reached out to Meghan to clear the air. Charles forced Kate to become his peacemaker after William’s refusal. “She agreed because, when it comes to the Royal Family, Kate has always taken her duties seriously – she does what she is told. “This feud has gotten so unseemly and out of hand, it’s starting to overshadow his reign and the entire monarchy. He wants to heal the rift once and for all.”
The names of the alleged “royal racists” were revealed in the Dutch version of Omid Scobie’s book. The author at first denied ever putting the names in but eventually admitted they were in an “early version”. The writer said that “uncleared text” was provided to a Dutch publisher with plans that a translation “would be updated to reflect the final version of the book”. Dutch publisher Xander Uitgevers said an “error” had occurred which saw “the royal racists” named.
