She’s the co-owner of a women’s soccer team in Missouri, the Kansas City Current. Patrick has never hesitated to share how much his wife and children mean to him. Following the 2023 NFL Honors ceremony, where he was named MVP, he sweetly shouted out his family. “To my wife, Brittany, my baby girl, Sterling, and my son, Bronze, this crazy life that we are living means nothing without y’all keeping me balanced and making me appreciate every single day. No matter how I feel coming home, y’all bring me joy and make me appreciate the time that I get to spend with y’all,” said Patrick.

Has The Public Hate Of Brittany Matthews Affected Her And Patrick Mahomes Relationship?

Despite the barrage of public hate his wife gets, Patrick Mahomes has never stopped defending her. For example, when fans were questioning the pair’s interest in each other when they were spotted front row at a 2022 Baylor vs Texas Tech game, Patrick was quick to squash the crazy assumptions being made about the couple. “Man people are weird… love you babe,” tweeted Patrick after the game, tagging Brittany. Clearly, Patrick must love Brittany deeply, yet his fans can’t seem to find any love for her. The consensus among Brittany haters seems to be that the former soccer player just does too much. She exudes too much energy, with her Instagram persona being characterized by chaotic energy.

Unlike other NFL players’ wives, fans think she makes the game day about herself more than she does about her husband. Take, for instance, when she shared a video of herself spraying champagne over a crowd of unsuspecting fans after the Chiefs’ 2022 divisional-round win over the Bills. People went ballistic, confused as to how she thought it was okay to spray liquids on fans sitting out in the cold. Brittany responded to the negativity surrounding the event by creating “Team Brittany” shirts. She explained that 25% of the proceeds from the t-shirt purchases would go to Red Card KC, a Kansas City foundation aiming to prevent bullying. Brittany also said she would be matching the final donation amount.

Despite the hate she initially received, Brittany was blown away by the positive response to the t-shirts. “I know there are still so many good people out here. Together we are making a difference in the community,” said Brittany on Instagram. Her anti-bullying t-shirt drive didn’t quiet all the haters, however, and soon fans found new things about Brittany to focus their hatred on. One of the biggest problems people have with Brittany is her presence on social media. She posts incessantly online during game days, documenting her entire day. Some fans also feel she’s detached from reality, boasting about her excessive game-day hair, makeup routines, and expensive glam squad. “They’re disliked because they appear as spoiled elitist show-offs who are riding on the coattails of Patrick. And then they play the victim when called out for their antics,” reads a comment with 286 upvotes on an article about why fans hate Brittany.

What Did Brittany Matthews Say About Joe Rogan?

Brittany Matthews puts on a brave face through all the hate she gets for supporting her husband. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, however, taking to Twitter in February 2022 to address the online trolling she’d been receiving. Brittany quote-tweeted a fan who said that hating on Brittany was “the new cool thing to do” and said, “Yup, the cool thing to do. Quite hysterical how something like that can become cool.” Her response came on the same day that her husband denied reports that he requested Brittany and his brother Jackson not attend his NFL games anymore. “Y’all just be making stuff up these days,” tweeted Patrick, along with a string of crying-laughing emojis. Brittany quote-tweeted him, simply adding, “Legit.”

She most recently called out comedians Joe Rogan, Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, and Ari Shaffer for talking about her on Joe’s podcast. “Patrick Mahomes has a wife that’s just wild. She’s up in the box and films herself…and Patrick is obviously the man, and then he’s got a crazy wife and a brother up in the box, doing all this s–t,” said Shane on the podcast. The four comedians then proceeded to play a clip of Brittany celebrating a series of Chiefs wins, which showed Brittany filming herself as she danced in a private viewing box in support of her quarterback husband. After viewing the clip, Joe said, “Woah, Jesus. The problem is they keep that same energy when you get divorced. They come after you with that same energy.”

“Something about grown men talking s–t about someone’s wife is real weird,” tweeted Brittany after news of the podcaster’s conversations spread online.

“Actually grown a– men hating on women in general is pathetic,” tweeted Brittany in a follow-up. Despite people’s criticism of her in the past, many NFL fans flooded Brittany’s comments agreeing with her. Maybe Joe Rogan and his gang of babbling C-list comedians did something good for Brittany’s reputation with their ranting, time will tell.
