It was a look of such genuine affection that few could doubt not just the teamwork, but the love between the two – when the Prince and Princess of Wales were caught sharing a private moment following the Guards polo, yesterday.
And it is not the first time. There was another, perhaps more subtle, look of loving recognition between the two just a few days earlier during the historic Order of the Garter service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.
That was the first time the Waleses had attended the event with their new royal titles and the look of pride on Catherine’s face was undeniable as she watched from the sidelines.
In fact, the pair, who first met at the University of St Andrews in 2001 still look as happy as they did in the earlier stages of their romance.
Over the years they have proudly stood alongside each other through many milestones, including their fairytale royal wedding, welcoming their three children, and taking on new roles following the coronation of King Charles III.
