Princess Kate’s four best friends who are rallying round her as she recovers from surgery

Princess Kate undoubtedly has her family all rallying around to help her recovery from her abdominal surgery last month, but who are her friends doing the same? Express.co.uk takes a look. As well as her adoring family, the Princess of Wales is said to have four very-close friends rallying around to offer their support during her recovery from planned abdominal surgery last month. Prince William took a break from royal duties last month to focus on their three children, as well as to make sure his wife was comfortably “settled” once she returned home on January 29. He has undertaken three engagements since, most recently attending the BAFTAs last night.

The Princess of Wales is said to be doing well in her recovery, even making sure to join her family in Norfolk for half-term last week. Speaking to OK! about Kate’s close friendships, royal expert Jennie Bond said: “One reason Kate has made such a success of her royal role is because she has a strong inner circle – and it extends way beyond her parents and siblings. She added: “But sometimes your oldest friends – who’ve been with you through thick and thin – are just the ticket. Kate has maintained deep friendships with several of her school mates, who obviously knew her way before royalty came her way so they’ll know just how to help.” Here Express.co.uk looks at the four friends who are instrumental in helping the royal recover.

As an interior designer by trade, Emilia is also thought to be partly responsible for some of the redecoration at Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall. Like Kate, Emilia is also a mother-of-three – with all three of her children being close in ages to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
