A courtier claimed Prince Harry left his stepmother, Queen Camilla, outraged, after he forced himself back home to the UK to meet with his father, King Charles, following his cancer diagnosis. The day following the announcement, Harry returned to the UK to meet his father for less than an hour, before heading back to the US just a little over 25 hours later. Harry’s meeting with the King sparked fresh hope that there might be signs of reconciliation as the duke claimed last week in Canada that he “loves” his family and that he was “grateful” to spend time with his father. But now a courtier has come out and said that the monarch’s wife was not happy with Harry’s visit because he didn’t ask for Palace approval before flying back home.
They claimed Camilla was “outraged” by Harry’s “attitude” during the meeting and “left no doubt he isn’t wanted back”. They told the National Enquirer, via RadarOnline: “Her Majesty was furious Harry flew in from his ritzy California home without getting palace approval – and came with an attitude.” “I’m told Camilla was outraged. She’s taken a lot of bile from Harry for years and couldn’t wait to let him have it.”
The source added the Queen could not take Harry “using her husband’s cancer as a ‘loving son’ PR”. They explained: “Camilla has taken it all on the chin, but using her husband’s cancer as a ‘loving son’ PR stunt was the last straw.
“After the father-son reunion, I hear she told Harry he’s a disgrace to his father, the family and the monarchy – and she left no doubt he isn’t wanted back!” Harry has spoken about his shaky relationship with Camilla in his memoir Spare. In it, Harry wrote: “I have complex feelings about gaining a step-parent who I thought had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.”
