Meghan Marke went viral on social media this week after a video of her pleading for an end to royal fans pitting her against her sister in law, Princess Kate. The Duchess of Sussex made a bombshell interview alongside husband Prince Harry with Oprah Winfrey back in March 2021 which has subsequently caused even more tensions between the pair and the Royal Family after they made a series of accusations. But during that interview, Meghan appeared to use it as an opportunity to plea for an end to royal fans pitting her against Kate.
A clip of the interview was shared by a fan on TikTok and has already amassed tens of thousands of views and hundreds of comments. The footage appeared to be from the segment during which Meghan spoke about a time Kate made her cry. 10 words of her monologue appears to have captured royal fans, as Meghan says: “If you love me, you don’t have to hate her.” During the interview, she said: “I’m not sharing that piece about Kate in any way to be disparaging to her. I think it’s really important for people to understand the truth.
“But also I think, a lot of it, that was fed into by the media. And I would hope that she would have wanted that corrected, and maybe in the same way that the Palace wouldn’t let anybody else negate it, they wouldn’t let her, because she’s a good person.” And it was then that the duchess made her 10-word plea, saying: “And I think so much of what I have seen play out is this idea of polarity, where if you love me, you don’t have to hate her. And if you love her, you don’t need to hate me.”
The fan captioned the video: “Kate and Meghan > the no life trolls who always put them against each other for no reason”(sic). Other royal fans hopped in the comment section to agree with the user, with one writing: “ppl love pinning women ESPECIALLY Kate and Meghan against each other like omg can we not love them both”. A second one said: “I LOVE THEM BOTH” with a third one agreeing: “They’re both so classy”.
A fourth commented: “KATE AND MEGHAN THE BEST DUO”. While a fifth wrote: “I thought I was the only person who genuinely likes them both” while a sixth one added: “They are both so stunning it’s insane”. Lastly, a user opined: “These women got married into ROYALTY! This fact alone can make me love and respect them”.
