Royal Family LIVE: Meghan Markle issued warning as Prince Harry prepares for UK visit - She has 'perfect excuse'

Meghan Markle has the “perfect excuse” for not visiting the UK with Prince Harry next month, claims a royal expert. Meghan Markle has been issued a stark warning as Prince Harry prepares for his UK visit next month. The Duchess of Sussex has been tipped to join her husband on the visit – although she may be set to opt out. Meghan hasn’t been on UK soil since 2022, having made no attempts to visit last year or, so far, this year either.

Speaking to the Sun, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams has issued the former working royal a warning for if she does decide to join Harry. As well as stating that Meghan “isn’t keen” on returning to Britain, the expert told the publication: “If she comes there will be a huge amount of adverse publicity because of the way she has acted for the past four years.”

Adding that security “wouldn’t be an issue” for their visit, Mr Fitzwiliams said that Meghan has a “perfect excuse” for not visiting. He said: “The security would be decided on a case by case basis, they would make sure the trip was secure from the point of view of the UK. I think security could be used as an excuse not to come though. Meghan has every right to come but they have been thrown out of Frogmore and for a good reason.

“Spare and the interviews around it were horrible frankly. She has the perfect excuse not to come over because Harry has lost his security case.”

Harry is due to speak at a special service marking the anniversary of the event which will be held at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8.
