Heartbreaking reason Lady Louise was forced to miss Easter Sunday service

This is not the first time that Lady Louise has missed a Church service. The royal was reportedly forced to miss attending the service due to her University exams. She is currently studying English Literature at the University of St Andrews in Scotland.

According to their website, both the week before and the week after Easter are still term-time and this is followed by two revision weeks with exams beginning on Saturday, April 20. However, this is not the first time that she has been forced to sit out from the tradition though as she was absent from last year’s celebrations too. King Charles and Queen Camilla, nevertheless, greeted the crowd with smiles and waves while attending the yearly Easter Sunday church service on Sunday.

This marks a significant public appearance for the monarch as he gradually resumes royal responsibilities following his cancer diagnosis. The 75-year-old joined other members of the Royal Family for the annual Easter Mattins Service and, as the monarch arrived, one person shouted “Happy Easter”, to which Charles gestured with his arm and responded: “And to you.” Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, were among the royal guests. They arrived at the chapel slightly ahead of the King and Queen.

However, the Princess of Wales and her family also did not attend the service. This comes just over a week after Kate shared an emotional video message revealing she had started preventative chemotherapy following her own cancer diagnosis.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, who all usually attend the service, are absent this year. Instead, they are spending the Easter holidays together as they adjust to Kate’s diagnosis, which was found in tests after her major abdominal surgery.
