The godmother of Prince George, Julia Samuel, injured her shoulder after she fell during a family holiday to the French Alps. Prince George’s godmother Julia Samuel was injured during skiing last week, it has been revealed. The psychotherapist shared on social media that she suffered a serious injury on her shoulder while on a family holiday to the French Alps.

She posted a reel on her Instagram page explaining her fall saying: “This is being filmed by my granddaughter, she always films my holiday reels. But today she is filming me with my busted shoulder. “On the first morning of our holiday, I fell on nothing and busted my shoulder. I’ve got ten nails in it and I can’t really move very much.” Many fans commented on her post to wish her a speedy recovery. Ms Samuel is one of the seven godparents to Prince George and was also very close to his late grandmother, Princess Diana as she was her former therapist.

Following her death in 1997, she kept a close relationship with members of the Royal Family before Prince William asked her to become a godmother to George. Speaking about her role as a godmother, she told the Observer in 2022: “Well, I feel lucky I was such a good friend of Princess Diana. “And I really love my godson, George. And it’s a lovely way of loving her.” And in 2020, she appeared on the How to Fail with Elizabeth Day podcast and said: “He is amazing. He’s funny and feisty and cheeky and God she (Diana) would have loved him so much. “That is heartbreaking for all of them.”

Ms Samuel is one of the seven godparents to Prince George and was also very close to his late grandmother, Princess Diana as she was her former therapist. The psychotherapist also commented on keeping the late Princess of Wales’s memory alive. She claimed: “So I do to George what (Diana) did to us which is give impossible toys which are really noisy, take a lot of making.”

She explained: “I come in slightly tipped by the size of the present that William then has to spend days putting together. “And then put all the machinery together and it makes awful tooting noises and lights flashing and all of that. “That makes me laugh and it makes George laugh.”
