Royal Family LIVE: Meghan Markle issued warning over following Prince Harry to UK
Meghan Markle has been warned against returning to the UK with Prince Harry. Recent reports suggest the Duke of Sussex is expecting to have his full taxpayer-funded security while in the UK reinstated, with one source describing it as “nailed-on” and a “formality”.

Harry, who has said the lack of security is the biggest barrier to his family visiting the UK, was granted a full risk assessment after a major U-turn by the Home Office last month. Despite the development, BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond has suggested the Duchess of Sussex should remain in the US if Harry does visit, telling the i newspaper: “Any visit by Meghan would need to be carefully curated and monitored. She may not be in the same physical danger, but she’s more likely to be the target of a verbal backlash than Harry, who still has a way of endearing himself to the crowds. If I were her, I’d give the UK a miss. She’s clearly happy at home in California. Why wouldn’t she be? She’s free, she’s wealthy, she has a husband who adores her and children she loves. Why court hostility over here?”
