Princess Kate leaves royal fans speechless with key move at Christmas carol service

Royal fans were delighted after they caught a glimpse of the Princess of Wales at this year’s Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey. Princess Catherine looked gorgeous in a green coat by Catherine Walker with a black fur collar and black boots.

It wasn’t the first time the future queen wore the coat, which carried a poignant nod to the late Queen Elizabeth. Catherine wore the coat in 2020 during an engagement with the late Queen. Royal fans were quick to spot the recycled piece and took to social media to praise her for wearing it, saying the colour suits her.

One user wrote on X: “She looks gorgeous & I was hoping she’d wear this coat! Last seen in 2020 I think at Windsor.” Another one added: “She looks amazing. The collar just lifts it, making the look cosy, but not over the top. Minimal jewellery.” A third one said: “I knew she was going to wear green tonight! It’s this season’s holiday staple colour!”A fourth one commented: “I was thinking this might be her year of green after seeing her wear the stunning green velvet dress. She can wear any colour and look fabulous.”

Catherine was joined by other members of the Royal Family, as well as her own family, the Prince of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, and members of the Middleton family.

As guests arrived on Friday afternoon, they were greeted by an array of British woodland trees creating a natural, festive environment. And inside there was a magical atmosphere with gorgeously decorated wreaths, Christmas trees and a nativity scene inside the nave.

The Together at Christmas service is a mix of traditional carols, music and readings and will air on ITV1 on Christmas Eve. Catherine’s carol service is now in its fifth year and has become one of the most important nights of the year for the future Queen.
