Prince Harry shows true colours with extraordinary six-word remark about Meghan Markle

Prince Harry opened up about seeing Meghan Markle for the first time with a six-word remark.

Prince Harry made a heart-warming six-word remark about his wife, Meghan Markle in his memoir, Spare. The Duke of Sussex made a series of headlines after he published his bombshell book back in January 2023. Spare revealed several stories about Harry’s life within the Firm, including his time growing up, his experience with past drug use, and his relationships with various members of the Royal Family.

But it also included a special section about his wife, with the Duke making a sweet comment about the “captain of his soul”. In the book, Harry wrote that he was scrolling through Instagram until he stumbled upon a video of his friend Violet von Westenholz with Meghan. He said: “I watched the video several times, then forced myself to put down the phone. Then picked it up again and watched the video again.

“I’d travelled the world from top to bottom, literally. I’d hopscotched the continents. I’d met hundreds of thousands of people, I’d crossed paths with a ludicrously large cross-section of the planet’s seven billion residents.” And that’s where the Prince made the sweet comment about Meghan, saying it was her who “stopped his conveyor belt”.

Harry said: “For thirty-two years I’d watched a conveyor belt of faces pass by and only a handful ever made me look twice. “This woman stopped the conveyor belt. “I’d never seen anyone so beautiful.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex started dating in 2016 and it wasn’t long before they tied the knot in 2018. Two years later, in 2020, they stepped down as senior working members of the Royal Family and moved to the US where they now reside with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
