Prince William made one major revelation about his two sons in 2020 – something that shows just how different the pair really are. Prince George and Prince Louis may be brothers but the two are seemingly very different – aside from the fact George will one day become King.

Prince William previously revealed one key difference between his two sons – their music tastes are very different. Whilst backstage at the Earthshot Prize last year, which took place in Singapore, William met American pop-rock band One Republic – a band that five-year-old Louis is a fan of. Unlike his little brother, 10-year-old George is said to be a fan of Australian hard rock band AC/DC.William’s revelation in 2020 came one year after he revealed that George is also a huge fan of Led Zeppelin. Speaking at the 2023 event, William told members of One Republic: “I can’t thank you enough. You were amazing. What a way to start the show.”

He went on to say: “That was incredible. Louis, my youngest, loves your songs.” Like her brothers, eight-year-old Princess Charlotte is a huge music fan. William previously revealed that his daughter is a fan of Shakira – and she even likes to dance along to one particular song. During his appearance on the Time To Walk podcast, William said: “One of the songs that the children are loving at the moment is Shakira, Waka Waka. “There’s a lot of hip movements going along with a lot of dressing up.”

Speaking on the podcast, William revealed that music plays a huge part in their morning routine and that there is usually a “massive fight” between George and Charlotte over which song they should play. He previously said: “Charlotte, particularly, is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything.

“She goes completely crazy with [Prince] Louis following her around trying to do the same thing.” Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter, Shakira responded after her Charlotte loved her music. Responding to William’s revelation, Shakira wrote: “I’m so pleased you like my music Princess Charlotte!”
