Kate Middleton makes rare comment about love life with Prince William
The Royal Family are known for keeping their private lives pretty, well, private – it’s why we get so excited whenever they break the rules and give us an insight into their life behind closed doors. And this week, Kate Middleton did just that, opening up to fans about her love life with Prince William. See, we told you this was something to get excited about!
At a solo engagement on Tuesday (16 May), the Princess of Wales joined Dame Kelly Holmes to meet a group of schoolgirls at St Katherine’s School in Bristol where – after kicking things off with some outdoor sports – she opened up the floor to questions about herself.
When asked by a pupil if she “wanted to a be a royal”, Kate admitted that this was not something she ever expected to happen. In fact, the now-Princess revealed she actually “had to learn” how to be a royal after “falling in love” with William – whom she met in 2001 when they were both studying at St. Andrew’s University in Edinburgh.
The Princess also opened up about the three children she shares with William. When questioned by Kelly about whether she sees different “traits” in Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, Kate replied: “Oh yes, definitely!”
Speaking about the royal engagement – which marked Mental Health Awareness Week – Kelly later said of Kate: “She humanised everything to say not everyone’s perfect. Doesn’t matter what you’ve got, or what you’re perceived to have, as an individual you’re still going to have those insecurities.” Erm, we cant wait to see Kate and Will’s romance play out on the next season of The Crown…
