Royal Family LIVE:Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s brutal seven-word swipe at Donald Trump
The couple did not make any comments about Donald Trump prior to the election day result, however they had made certain statements believed to be aimed at the now President-Elect.
Donald Trump was elected as the new President of the US yesterday, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle unlikely to be happy with this result.
While the couple, who quit life as senior royals in 2020, stayed politically neutral in public during this latest election campaign, they had previously made a comment which suggested their dislike of Trump, with the President having also made various comments over the years about the couple, including making it clear he wasn’t “a fan” of Meghan Markle.
In 2020, before a previous election, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex called on the public to vote and “reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity”, in what was believed to be a brutal seven-word swipe at Trump despite the fact they did not name him.
Since then, the President has taken various swipes back at the couple, with many royal fans now on edge about what his election win means for the prince’s visa, which is already believed to be on rocky ground as a result of his admission of drug-taking in his 2023 memoir Spare.
The President previously made it clear that “appropriate action” would be taken about Harry’s visa if it was reconsidered.
