Meghan Markle is reportedly set to make “high-end celeb-based products” after her lucrative Spotify deal was axed. This will be a completely different approach to furthering her own personal brand and career. Royal expert Tessa Dunlop has said that “if things go to plan” then the 41-year-old could be branching out into the new venture.

Ms Dunlop told Mirror US: “Even the Royal Family might take heart. “After all last month the Sussexes promised that they had nothing left to say about their time in The Firm. “If things go according to plan, former actress and Hollywood stalwart Meghan will soon be making a few high-end celebrity-based products on a new platform minus any royal input.” Making no reference to Harry in Meghan’s apparent plans, Ms Dunlop added: “Which begs the question, what about Harry?”

Meghan and Harry signed with Spotify in 2020, and was one of their first deals since stepping down from royal duties earlier that year. Last week, it was confirmed that the couple had parted ways with the company and that the deal had come to an end. The announcement was confirmed via a statement that was put out by both the Sussexes and Spotify. The joint statement read: Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.” Meghan released one series of her podcast Archetypes during then couple’s deal with the company.

The podcast series, which consisted of a dozen episodes and was launched last August, was released almost two years after the Sussexes sign on the dotted line to seal the deal with Spotify.

The couple still have multi-million dollar deals with Netflix and Penguin Random House. Both of these deals have seen content rolled out, in the form of the couple’s six-episode docuseries and Harry’s tell-all memoir “Spare”.
