Meghan Markle ‘fuming’ after Netflix dig as she issues snide response

With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration viewers noticed one moment where the Duchess of Sussex appeared to get frustrated, and her demeanour shifted. Kelly Zajfen, Meghan, and Lindsay Roth all worked together to make some DIY Christmas wreaths, and as Kelly picked hers up to ask Meghan if bows are “in right now”, she was given high praise by the Netflix crew. One person behind the camera said, “That is a quality wreath,” to which she responded, “Thank you so much!” Before asking if they would purchase it.

Meghan’s face appeared to turn deadpan as she then said: “It also goes to show that you don’t need some expert to do it. This is the first time they’re coming together.” Viewers immediately picked up on the shift in Meghan’s expression, as well as noting her witty response back. One user wrote: “I feel like Netflix crew is purposely complimenting Kelly’s wreath to give a jibe to Markle [laughing emojis].” Another wrote: “The way she says ‘you don’t need to be an expert’ was her way to undermine her… like saying ‘even a five-year-old could do it, so don’t feel like you’ve achieved anything, Kelly!’. Lol, she just can’t stand everything not being about her.”

A third added: “Pretty sure that was a backhanded compliment from Megs.” While a fourth chirped: “You could almost see the steam coming out of her ears.” Another noted that she was “jaw-clenching”, while an additional user said, “Oh, she doesn’t like it when the attention is on someone else. She’s so deeply insecure and angry. Typical narc.”
Now that Meghan’s festive version of her Netflix special is out in the open, the feedback has been coming through thick and fast, but it’s not quite what the Duchess would be happy with. It’s been branded “unfathomable” with “pointless crafts” and “random friends

It has received an awful one-star review from multiple publications, although The Guardian gave some level of leniency and opted for two stars.

However, their TV critic, Lucy Mangan, still warned viewers to take “anti-nausea pills” to stomach the contents of the show. In fact, the second star provided was, in retrospect, only given because “at least we are safe now until next year”
